Is push feed action more accurate then CRF?

Hi gents

I've read somewhere push feeds are more accurate then crf actions. If this is true..why?
I own a CZ550 in 270 and for a hunting rifle it shoots MOA with factory ammo. I dont really follow what competition guys are using but in hunting situation I like how crf gives me a solid positive extraction.

Your thoughts are most welcome. Happy New Year to all on this forum

Cheers

Hi Mario, I think what you are referring to, is the occasional complaint that the extractor on a CRF action can push the cartridge to one side of the chamber, potentially effecting bullet to bore alignment. No one seems to mention the fact that a plunger can do the same on a push feed action. An occasional offense occurs when a barrel is fitted in such a way that it touches the claw extractor and creates stress.

If your rifle shoots MOA with factory ammo and no bedding, the rifle will probably shoot half MOA or less with bedding and hand loads. This should surely speak for itself.

A very good example of an accurate rifle with claw extractor is the Swedish Mauser. There is no faulting the accuracy of many of these rifles.

Sometimes I think folk mis-read variables. There is a big difference between a rifle action design premise and the actual execution of that design. For example, the M98 action is the design premise for your CZ, a design which has great merit. The actual execution depends on the workmen with quality varying from one day to the next depending on who is on shift, how fresh the tooling is etc.

Hi Nathan
Thanks for that. Quick question, In rifle accurising service you provide do you find or develop a specific load that works for that specific rifle?

Reason I ask is that I have not done any reloading before and currently im in the process of researching on a best reloading kit for myself as I plan to purchase one shortly. Sooo confusing on whats needed, quality etc..

I'm hoping to be in NZ later this year and I think it would be a good investment for myself to get it "accurized" by you. My wife has been to NZ and she loved it and I always wanted to go so it's a win win for both of us.

Loved the book mate.

Cheers
