Guidance on FMR Reamers

I am ordering three different FMR reamers (and resizing dies) from Manson Reamers (7 mm Practical, 30-06 AI, 264 Win Mag). The latest prints they have (at least per my conversations with them) are labelled 'Foster Manson Reamers 2021'. These DO have the 30 degree 'neck-freebore' angle. Are they the correct version to order, per Nathan's recent comments on his revisions to the 30-06 AI, 264 Win Mag, and 7 mm Practical cartridges? Sorry for being pedantic, but when I am building 3 new custom rifles, I would like to make sure I am using the latest and correct reamers.

Hi Robert, no worries at all. Yes, these are the latest and have the 30 degree case mouth transitions to minimize erosion (see recent post by Maciej regarding .30-06 erosion).

Those are three good reamers. I think now is the time for the 06AI as this is a little more flexible regarding current powder shortages. The Practical is still an optimal 7mm magnum which continues to shine. For example, I just had a photo sent from a target shooter using the Practical, showing a one hole group at a round count of 1300 rounds after load rework. The .264 is also enjoyable. I maximized the body and set the leade much longer than the original while making sure it would handle a high round count regardless of throat erosion.

That's a really good mix Robert, I hope you enjoy them.

Hi, Nathan. I am sure I will enjoy them. I appreciate all of the time and effort you spent providing this information, both via the forum and in direct communications. Reading all of your books a 2nd time and catching new ideas the second time around. Oh, I am actually getting a 4th reamer as well - the 300 Win Mag FMR. Lots of rifles to build, too little time to actually shoot and hunt :) Thank you again.
