Willy BartelHi all, I've been reading Nathan's book series and I'm almost at the end of the Maintenance and Accurizing Book. Here's a simple truck I found for Remington bolts. There's a slot in the cocking indicator which a nickel (5 pence in my photo) sits nice and secure allowing you to unscrew the bolt shroud with ease. I press down against something that won't mar the sear and slip the nickel in. |

Paul LevermanRe: Remington Bolt Disassembly Nickel TrickYes, quite handy when working on the P14/M17. Saves a lot of finger pinching. |

Paul LevermanRe: Remington Bolt Disassembly Nickel TrickYep, that's it. Little different configuration, but same idea. Kind of like the pin in the M77 cocking piece. Makes life a lot easier when you find out about it. |
