The problem with bulk buying.....

is you never know what you are going to find.

All the info that I can find says that these are no longer made, out of business, etc., etc.. They look nice, and I assume that they are hunting bullets, as all the forum talk from 5-10 years ago was on hunting sites.

The pics aren't great, it's hard to get good shots through the plastic box, but if you look you can find one or two that show the rebate and the hollow point.

There is only one, unopened box. Hopefully, an accurate load shows itself quickly.

My thoughts are that they should have an excellent BC, but there is no info for SD. And that hollow point is fairly large, so that should initiate some violent expansion, if these are indeed hunting bullets.

Any thoughts?

They look suitable Paul. The meplat is well defined, better than other match style long range hunting bullets on the market by quite a margin.

Always a mixed bag. I found some old Winchester factory ammo for th 308. Had a very interesting looking projectile in it. The box was $30 which is cheap for ammo here in Australia. Anyway it turns out they were Norma Vulkan 180gr projectiles. It's just a shame I fired off 7 before realising my scope wasn't up to scratch.

I was curious as to the size of the HP, so I tried various drill bits to find one that would fit. The .038"(.965mm) bit would enter and contact the lead, but not touch the jacket material. Same with each bullet randomly pulled from the box. I'd say that was pretty good conformity in the manufacturing process.

A few years ago I hunted with a 270 all the time. Loved the gun. The gun had been given to me by a relative with a supply of 140gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claws. The gun shot great and I took quite a few deer with this combination. Then my supply and the local supply dried up. Recently I was at a gun shop and in a sales bin was two boxes of bullets. Bought both and have yet to work up a load. Ya think I could find the old load?

Hmmmmmm, Paul

From your picture of these mystery bullets it seems these are meant for dispatching only bobcats and lynx.

If I remember correctly, the original manufacturer sold the company to an outfit in Montana (?). Sorry, can't remember the details, but they may still be marketed on your side of the border. Seems to me they kept the original name.
