The Next Part of the Journey

Andrew Murray

Finally! I have purchased some projectiles and powder. Primers will come tomorrow but I wanna say a big thanks to everyone here for the help and advice to this point.

Can very much see these are just the A Max with a different tip. What a funny little gimmick. However in different calibres and weights I think you get different bullets like the Vmax and SST. These are of course the 30 cal 168gr A Max (as you can see on the box) so I am very keen to get these loaded up.

Very happy guys. Thanks again. Big cheers to Nathan for the expert advice and straight forward approach.

This combo works really well Andrew & we have run these pills in everything from 308 right through to WM & WSM with excellent results.

Stick to your 71mm coal and run up through the Thales-ADI charge weights in .5 grain increments at a steady pace keeping the barrel cool. You should find a nice wide stable node to work within.

Good price for the powder and pills too, they're $53 & $270 down here ggrrrrr.....

Have fun!

Cheers Marty,

I actually picked them up for $194. They were on special. Not bad at less than 40c per pill for a good projectile. I am sure it's not as good as the new ELD range but still!

I picked up the primers today. Ended up going with MagTech Primers. Managed to pick up some very old CPX2 PSP cartrigdes from Winchester. Old SuperX projectiles. I figured it was $30 for 20 fire formed cases if nothing else :)

Andrew, I'm looking forward to seeing you post about your first game harvest with your own loads. You'll be hooked for life then.
