Nathan - was having trouble with a Savage .308 that I own. Its groupings were getting worse and worse. I did wonder whether it was due to excessive copper fowling as no matter what I did the barrel did still appear to have copper fowling in it. I followed your instructions with Sweets + Scotch Brite and it worked a trick. Rifle is now back down to sub 1" groups! Thanks for sharing your expertise.
