Do you think/feel that. "Its time for a new system" The UN Agenda 21 is a scary one me thinks?
Am i alone in knowing that the path we're on leads to no place good except

"The things that will destroy You.... are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt

In answer to the question...
Yes... But not as directly as you might think.

Jacaranda trees are known to burst into flower after having been hit by baseball bats or similar object.

Chilli plants give hotter and more abundant fruit when they are under attack by insects. This fact is exploited by competition chilli growers in order to get hotter fruit. They add lots of worm castings and the catchings of fly traps to the base of the plant which tricks it into thinking it is under attack and therefore goes hotter with its fruit.

I didn't watch the video by the way, just saw the question and though I realise it is philosophical in nature, the real world application answer is a generalised "yes", which therefore has massive implications for the philosophical answer.

So yes, but only to a point.

Samuel Johnson:

“Depend upon it, sir, when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully.”

Might also apply to our leafy brethren?

Can you provide a little more context Warwick?

I am not sure of the motivation or direction you're taking?

Hey Ben. Setting a good example. Planning way into the future (playing the long game) ensuring that there's enough for our forecesters to live a good balanced life. Have you read the book
" Tuesdays with Morrie" it's a great read.

Andrew.
Humans are complex creatures. We have a demonstrated capacity for hatred, violence, competition, and greed. We have as well a demonstrated capacity for love, tenderness, cooperation, and compassion. Healthy societies nurture the latter and in so doing create an abundance of those things that are most important to the quality of our living. Dysfunctional societies nurture the former and in so doing create scarcity and deprivation. A healthy society makes it easy to live in balance with the environment, whereas a dysfunctional society makes it nearly impossible. Whether we organize our societies for social and environmental health or for dysfunction is a choice that is ours to make."

I keep finding I'm dealing with people who accept the dysfunction of modern society. I've always been the guy who is doing the right things fixing cars and houses to help people save money and get back on track. The old if you want a good life then you have to make good life choices. No different than getting a good gun and ammo. It takes planning and working on yourself. It seams that something went wrong with the education of people in the early 1980s. I'm just over lazy dumb humans who don't think enough to care or
Care enough to think. Sometimes it's like watching a boxer punch themselves in the face because the opponent isn't fighting hard enough to win.....?
At 50 I have 15 years to retirement and thinking that I would be better off concentrating on my own well being and letting others to their own chosen devices. Of course the few true friends I have and family will be seeing more of me as I really appreciate and enjoy their unconditional love and friendship.
Take care over the silly season. Look up and look ahead. Warwick
