He's 14 1/2" on both sides. Haven't scored by B & C yet.

Re: SHOW WHAT YOU SHOT?
5-1/2 foot black bear - .270 win - 150 grain SST (annealed) - about 80 yards, freehand - lower neck shot, hit the spine and dropped him instantly, then the bullet deflected and ripped vital arteries out the other side.

Re: SHOW WHAT YOU SHOT?
Yes, I am pretty happy with his coat. I have frozen it and plan to try tanning it myself when I have more time.

I am going to have my local butcher do up some bratwurst and chorizo!

Nice Boar I shot behind the ear with a 25 06 and 117 gr Prohunter @ 150 yards.
Dropped on the spot, not a twitch. The inside was mush.

Ben & Mark - Both are nice animals. I've always thought that any animal that was a successful hunt was a trophy. Well done, lads.

Re: SHOW WHAT YOU SHOT?
Well. It's happened again. While out rabbit shooting Mother and Son walked out of the scrub. Watched them grazing and left them alone. Rang the land owner and asked if he had any deer on his land. He gave permission to remove them so next morning we got up early and walked around to top of ridge and waited for the light of day. Wild deer roaming farm land seems to be my calling.

6.5x55 Swede 140 gn Partition he was lying down flat under a tree hiding 200yards away on opposite side of the valley Shot through the lungs and a second insurance shot to the base of the neck as he tried to stand up with 140 Amax both bullets passed through. My mate got the Hind a few hours earlier. His first deer and he was over the moon especially as he had to go to work and I got to dress and carry it to the truck. The bonus being the spiker I found hiding.

Took this BC Mule deer this Thanksgiving weekend with the trusty old Marlin 30-30. Point of aim was front line of the right foreleg and hit just about perfect, 1/3 way up and just in the front of the shoulder, bullet exited about 3" behind left foreleg. Distance was ~140-150yards, ammo was factory Winchester 170 gr Power Max.

Outstanding!

Love the good ol' .30-30 lever action rifles and also love mule deer hunting.

Where were you hunting?

Re: SHOW WHAT YOU SHOT?
Luis,

There is a forum called How To Post Photos, in there you will find the instructions. Your last post in the TEST forum was right except you forget to close the HTML tag on the end.

A final correct photo will show when you have this for example (I have added spaces before and after the URL so it won't work so you can see.

If i take the the spaces out it looks like this...

Luis, in the picture of you and your brother with the deer, what kind of body weights did those bucks have?

Nice racks.

Re: SHOW WHAT YOU SHOT?
Thanks Guys.

We didnt weight them. We got those in Sonora Mexico and we shot them 5 second apart, it is not common to find two or more big bucks together wirh a harem of does dring the rut. Both were shot with 280's with 160 grain partitions, and both were neck shots.

The other one is a blacktail in Southern Arziona, its size is between a coues and a mule deer. Got it with a 7x08 with the 139 gr SST, double lung and drop where it stood. You can see the antler ring extension on the base of the antler, havent seen one like it before.

I'll thy that next time Andre thanks.

Best regards

Luis
