Jack DunrossHi everyone! What's everyone's thoughts on the cheap eBay wind speed anemometers? Are they any good, or should I fork out for the more expensive Kestrel?The price gap is pretty big! Cheers! Jack |

Todd FreeRe: Wind Speed Anemometer?I bought a Kestrel 3000 on ebay for less that $100 AU. Only anemometer I have ever used, so cannot compare to others. Reads wind speed, temp, RH etc etc. Suits my needs without issue. |

Mike RRe: Wind Speed Anemometer?I bought a cheap eBay one for $30. I think brand was uni-t appears to work ok as a stand alone unit. Has Bluetooth but to set up the app it’s all in Chinese and even translating it I couldn’t get it to set up it maybe apple security I don’t know. |

Jack DunrossRe: Wind Speed Anemometer?Thanks guys, I'm thinking I'll just bite the bullet and go for the Kestrel, as I suppose that there's no real way to prove how accurate the Chinese ones are.Todd, you must have gotten a bargain! As I can't find the Kestrel 3000 for under $240aud. Cheers! Jack |
