Hey guys. well it's getting colder and I have been worried about condensation getting into the gun safe. So I have fitted a 40 watt bulb into the safe and its working a treat. Its about 20 degrees C inside now and the first frost was this morning. Cost about $30 for the power lead ,bulb/globe and holder.

Re: gun safe heaters
would it be rude of me to suggest you fit light fitting to roof of safe so you dont continualy break bulb when moving guns?????
we did this for a while using a automotive trouble light bulb holder.

Re: gun safe heaters
Mike the bulb is 1 3rd the way up to cause convection so that the air circulates in the safe. I put it on the side of the hinges as I lift them away from the bulb. I'm a loud to break bulbs I'm an electrician ; ) lol Thanks for your comments guys.

Pretty unique "gun safe". I hope you don't get a burglar that's really thirsty!
