Hi Ben, I have come across this type before under another logo- very similar form. The cross section is wide enough that the alloy will maintain strength. The only point to be careful of it to not over torgue the ring screws. Ali is softer than carbon steel so the threads can be stripped easily. Just watch your torque settings and you should be fine.
