I'm running 26grn 2206h behind 55grn bt in my mates t3 1:12 twist, this was first and only load I tried, I haven't bedded it or anything just tuned trigger and it's .1-.2" gruping. It's good when you don't have to develop a load :)

Re: best powder for 223
Was shooting with a friend recently who had loaded his Rem 700 sps .223 with a Hodgdon powder called CFE 223. He had trued the action and bedded it, free floated the barrel and it sported a NXS Nightforce scope. His groups were averaging close to 0.4 on enters for 5 shots. Given the wind gusts that was not bad. The interesting thing is that this powder is one which does not allow copper to foul the barrel much at all, and even though lots of rounds were fired, his cleaning job was surprisingly easy.

Not saying it is the best or anything as many love AR-Comp too and do well with it. I think that like the .308, the .223 is easy to load for and one just has to discover what his rifle wants to shoot.

I've a Remmy 700 with a 12 twist Truflight on it. Loves 24.5gn of AR8208 behind the 55VMAX.

Before the 8208 I loaded BM2.

Re: best powder for 223
24.5 grns AR2206h is my "GO TO" load for .223 with 50-55grn projectiles...not too hot and accurate enough through the Zastava. GI brass too, so that probably helps with keeping pressure up a tad with this mild load.
