Ignacio Colomer

Dear Sirs:

I intend to use a 375 H&H for long range (400-500 m) medium game gun. I need a 375 bullet enough soft to expand reliable at those range to produce clean shoots. I have tried sierra 300 gr GK, but it is very stout for my opinion. I would like to use Speer 270 gr SPBT bullets at 2750 ft/s MV.

What are your opinions? Have anybody experience with this bullet or any other for this purpose?

Thank you for your commnets and suggestions.

Re: 375 long Range bullets
Hi Ignacio, the Speer is a good call. You may still have some trouble (delayed killing) on very lean animals at 500 yards but the Speer is still one of the best options.

Rocky Mountain also produce fully frangible long range bullets in .375 caliber. But again, lean animals and low impact velocities can cause a heavy bullet to cleave to its momentum.

You are on the right track, keep at it.
