I hear Berger is putting out a 195gr EOL Hybrid Hunting bullet. With a "claimed" G1 BC of .794 (:-o) it makes the 180VLD seem like a brick.
Might have to get a new 7mm Practical barrel in 1:8 twist.
Anyone know what "EOL" stands for ?
Isn't it time Hornady brought out a 180-200gr A Max????? now we're talking

Re: 7mm 195gr Berger
How about that.

I definitely am going to have to perform more meplat trimming and testing for increased terminal performance (rapid fragmentation). I spoke with Kevin at Montour County rifles and his meplat trimmer can open the tips right up to over 100 thou. Will need to test the loss in BC etc and whether it will all pan out. But- in your Practical, even a BC of .7 at an MV of 3000fps offering extremely fast fragmentation with a deep penetrating cluster, well that would be something. Would be nice if the 1:9 will stabilize it, will just have to see, it will definitely be a rifle to rifle thing.
