Nathan FosterHi John, I have put my thoughts on this bullet in my last book. You can also look into the .26 Nosler thread to see further discussions. This is a good general hunting bullet design but those who designed it, lacked the most basic fundamental understanding of what is required of a long range hunting bullet. It is what I call an intermediate long range bullet, ideal for hunting out to extended ranges as opposed to truly long ranges. The book is more useful because it goes into great detail about bullet requirements, mechanics of wounding and so forth. Not something I want to try to explain or justify within the space of a post, though I have in the past attempted basic explanations in other posts as well as the game killing section of the KB. |
