Hi Truls, I covered this in my last book- Long Range Hunting Cartridges. I think the most important factor, is to first understand how different types of bullet work at different impact velocities toi gain a full, fundamental understanding of terminal ballistics. This same topic is also being discussed in the .30-06 Ackley Improved thread.

You are on the right track and I would suggest that you try the 200 grain Partition- at least for one hunting season. You will find that this bullet is much more violent than the Accubond but also displays better penetration. It the best of both worlds as far as your needs are concerned.
