Hawk bullets

Has anyone tried the Hawk bullets co. in new jersey they make soft lead and copper jackets that are not core bonded. I seen that they make many calibers in RN,FP,SPZ I was interested in their .375 235gr spz any info I would be Thankful, Alan

Hi Alan, I have one client using these with good results. Unfortunately, I have no experience with these first hand.

Yes, please give them a go, they are making bullet types that others are not addressing so its good to support such companies.

Other readers, please take note of the .358 and 9.3 offerings.

Australian and NZ readers who have experience with Taipan bullets will be familiar with annealed copper sheet for bullet making. See also my comments and folly in the Cartridges book.

Alan, I suggest you do not research these via the internet, nor look into the sales pitch from Hawk including their terminal performance page. I dislike theoretical drawings and tables. Instead, I suggest you buy a box or two of bullets and obtain kill data. If I am correct based on past designs of a similar nature, these 'should' (there is that word I really don't like using) perform very well.
