Bryan WebsterHave any of you folks tried Reloader 26 in the 7mm Remington Magnum with the new 180 grain 7mm ELD-M as well as the 175 grain ELD-X bullets? The main reason I am interested in use of this powder is it is very temperature insensitive and if it works out well enough I would use it for hunting. |

Nathan FosterRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagI have not tried this yet Bryan. Should be interesting. |

Kenneth KephartRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagWhile i haven't tried the heavier bullets my Savage 111 really likes RL26. I've been shooting the 162gr ELDX and 150gr ABLR.Definetly better accuracy with RL26 over RL25. Velocities and powder volume close to RL25. |

Bryan WebsterRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagThanks Kenneth.I have not been out to the rifle range for some time. Still whitetail season around here so am using loads I had already developed for the 162 grain Amax. If the weather warms up here I will get to the range and chronograph 162 grain ELD-X loads with Reloader 26. Last time at the range I shot a ten round group at 200 yards that were all inside3/4 inches on centers and sighted in for 200 yard zero and -6 inches drop at 300 so while not chronographed it appears to be close to muzzle velocity of 3000 fps Range is busy at times so it is often hard to get time to put chrono up and stop everyone else's shooting to get it set up. |

Kenneth KephartRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagAs an aside, if your shooting 100 or 105gr bullets out of 243 Win RL26 works great for them also!I also use it for 120gr Gamekings out of my 257 Roberts. |

Jim MoseleyRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagJust ran some load test with the 180 gr match in my 7mag.RL26 / 67.3 grs Fed GM210M primers Rem Brass Length measure off the ogive / 3.750 .006 off the lands MV / 3019 fps Groups / .135 and .156 @ 100 yds. Hart barrel / 8 twist / 26 in Micro Bastard muzzle brake I been off the forum for a while and just getting back behind the rifle. Missed an entire hunting season so I'm pretty pump up for the upcoming fall season. Throat cancer give me a real kick in the ass, but 52 lbs lighter now and I won the battle. Needless to say I'm going to take it out on some deer this season. Got a spot laid out which will give me a 1260 yds shot. That should make me feel better. Hope all you guys are doing well. Glad to be back. |

Paul LevermanRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagWelcome back, Jim. Glad you made it into the Survivors Club. It's a helluva membership cost, but well worth it. |

Nathan FosterRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagHi Jim, great to hear from you and sorry to hear about the struggles you have been through. But heck, talk about coming back with a vengeance- that's some serious velocity, a good 100fps faster than most and with great accuracy. You really are in good form. |

Jim MoseleyRe: Reloader26 in the 7mm Rem MagUpdate.Measured for runout which was .0035 - .004. Then I remembered my old Lee Collet die. Reloaded a few more rounds which measured .001 - .0015. Headed to the range and broke my record group with a .045 group @100 yds. Hoping to head down to the farm this weekend and test at 800-1000 yds. I'll let you know how it goes. Jim |
