I recently purchased a Remington 700 in a 270 wsm, i looked at the muzzle before i purchased but the lighting was terrible and couldn't visually inspect it very well. When i taken to the range some groups weren't that great and i was getting some weird patterns, with some projectiles it does okay and some were as small as 2" groups at 200 yards with hand loads.

Just over the weekend i cleaned the barrel out and looked at the muzzle in better lighting and noticed a ding around the 1 o'clock area next the lands, it doesn't appear to come down completely into the muzzle but gets pretty close and just wanted to get some input if this needs to be re-crown and try again.
