Wayne WoodardNathan recommends 1in9 twist for the 7-08 but the montana rifle company rifles are 1:9.5. Will it still get the job done with 162gr amax? |

Bryan WebsterRe: 1:9.5 twist in 7mm08MY RIFLES DO. Both in 7mm Rem Mag as well as 7mm-08 with 1:9.5 twist and both shoot into a ragged hole at 100 and remain sub .5 moa pretty far out there. |

I do recommend 1:9 but 1:9.5 is fine and is the norm these days in factory rifle barrels.The 1:9.5 does suit the magnums better but if you experiment, you will hopefully find a sweet spot somewhere between 2600 and 2700fps. |
