barrel bands vs. accuracy

Hi All -

I was wondering if any of you had experienced any changes in point of impact when bracing with a sling that is attached to the rifle with a barrel band? The only example I can think of is the Ruger 1A, but I'm sure there must be others.

Thanks!

Re: barrel bands vs. accuracy
Mi Mark, yes there are quite a few examples such as the popular marlin lever guns or military rifles etc. Basically any two piece stock design.

The key, is to test with and without a sling. And if using a sling, avoid excessive tension.
