Hi Nathan

I have just been reading with interest the thread from Bush Chook.

Also the idea that you posted on live discussion work shop.

In your last post to Bush Chook you said that not seeing the rifle and the way

he shot made isolating the problems hard for you, which I can we'll agree with.

Just a thought. Have you an IPad?

You could video face time with clients that do. I no that this would not solve all the can of worms and may even open up a few...but it may be worth looking into.

Cheers Francis

Re: Face time?
Great idea Warwick! Need to add depreciation for the ipad too. And the additional data on the internet link. More like $5 a minute.
Cheers, Dan.

Re: Face time?
This is not aimed at you Francis but unfortunately the guys are spot on.

I have discussed the lack of "donations" with Nathan often & on these pages many, many times, but most still take advantage of his "wanting to help nature".
I class Nathan as one of my close friends & always cover his time when he is answering my "how about this crazy Idea" emails. Many times l just want to bounce Ideas off my friend, a sounding board, but this is a business, his families lively hood and professional advice like this l have not found anywhere else, period.

And for all reading this, l have seen firsthand the amount of emails that TBR had to be worked through on a relatively quiet week................I do not believe it to be a sustainable situation without more financial support from the questioners!

Re: Face time?
Yes Martin. When you meet Nathan Steph and Riley they're such good people. Going out to the hunting block and talking with them. Eating Stephs yummy food and watching Nathan get stuck with trailer on quad bike lol and helping get wood for the hut out the back of the block. You just can't help but want to see them get a fair deal when they're so giving of their lives, time and knowledge. If you guy's reading and gaining knowledge skills and ending up with an accurate reliable firearm would be kind enough to look at how much you have gained (Especially if you think of the once in a lifetime Trophy taken with the rifle that you built using this site ) Be honest and put a price on the good feelings all the prime meat you took home and the memories you have for the rest of your life.
[b][i]REMEMBER THAT A LITTLE BIT OF SOMETHING'S BETTER THAN A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING Be real and fair as men we owe it to ourselves to lead by example? Nathan sets a wonderful example caring and sharing unselfishly with us all. It won't kill any of us to give it back. Nathan is a living example of the film "PAY IT FORWARD ".
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK NATHAN. THANKS MATE.

Re: Face time?
Hi guys, thanks for the kind comments. Am sorry for the late reply, I have been away in the hills. Lots of flooding damage here but managed to get some testing done.

This is an interesting post. The only way I can answer it is to be completely honest.

To begin with, I was able to help Bush chook by phone. His father sat in on the call which now means that they can run a buddy system and implement the methods I drilled them to work with. They will be fine. It will take time.

Now, here is where I am stuck.

I wrote the book series to help folk- but also to make money. People use these forums to clarify info. What I fear, is giving so much away here that I have nothing left to give and no income due to the fact that people may choose to scroll through posts and take info from points clarified, rather than purchase books. The KB is already available for free- but since the book series has come out, the KB can also be considered a marketing platform. I will not charge for this so please, nobody make comments on charging for the KB- its not going to happen.

As for face time or skype. These are areas that I would like to pursue and they make for an excellent marketing platform. But again, I get stuck on the problem of how much do I give. To some, it may sound selfish of me to speak in this manner but I am arriving at a point in life where I feel I can only help so much before the sacrifice becomes too great. So I have these internal arguments on a week to week basis. One way would be to pick and choose what I answer? Pick certain subjects to talk about?

My end game is not as humble as some might think. I would like to amass a great deal of wealth from this business because I would like to purchase land here in order to continue our work. Operating the tutorials and such on other folks lands is fraught with long term problems. What we need is a fast and hard hit of 100,000 -200,000 book sales so we can get the ball rolling. To do this, I need to finish the current book, then switch to marketing while also completing the KB which is my continued commitment to hunters- but also ties back into marketing. Land costs money, there is no way around this.

These are my (our) motivations laid bare. You can also see my fears here, whether they are founded or unfounded. Fear is unfortunately part and parcel to the human condition. It has taken great courage to step out of the norm and put this site etc together to help folk in this manner. But it never goes away as one might think, the challenges simply change and we have to find ways to deal with the fears that arise with these challenges. We have to dig deep. If I let my own fears dominate me, then I would likely pull back and guard my information as was done in the past within trades. So I dig deep and deal with it as best I can.

I hope this helps explain our current situation in a concise manner.
