Dakota Arms Model 97 - Experience??

Gentlemen,

Do any of you have experience handling and shooting the Dakota Model 97? It has the claw extractor but with round body action and Rem 700 type recoil lug.

There's a lot of them on sale at Cabela's and its one dandy looking gun.

Hi Ricardo, this is one of the brands I have the least experience with. Still, my limited assessment is that they are very well put together. An ideal action design, safety and straight recoiling stock.

I just became the proud owner of the pictured rifle, in .300WM, 26" Douglas barrel, weighing around 8lbs unscoped and unloaded.

Will upload some pics soon!!!! The rules of the Accurizing book will be followed to the letter...
