I can comfortably shoot out to 550yds - 500m without any fuss. Haven't hunted at this range but can bang the steel gong at the shooting range without too much effort. For hunting, use 168 AMAX for long shots and the 165 SST for closer stuff. There is a thread on load development for the SPS in 308W on this forum if you look for it.
