john feyereisnI just ordered Nathans first book, which I am looking forward to, I have also read "the accurate rifle" by warren page and I learned alot. Looking through the summary of Nathans books it seems He covers the rifle, cartridges, loads ect very well. I would also be interested in a book that covers shooting teqniqe, or does one of Nathans books cover this? |

Mike NeesonRe: looking for a book recomendationHi John, Nathan's next book is on reloading due before Christmas and the book after that will be the one on technique. The article that Chris mentioned is excellent. If you want some old school education on how the marines used to do it, and a development of that for modern hunting - not long range - I can highly recommend "The Art of the Rifle" by Colonel Jeff Cooper. Excellent book on proper use of the sling and expedient use of rests in the field. His other works are excellent too - a gifted writer. |

Martin TaylorRe: looking for a book recomendationHi John,Chris and Mike are on the money, great info in the Hold that forend article that Nathan has put up for all to read. You will find Snippets of information about technique throughout Nathans books, you will enjoy reading your ordered book and find lots of great tips in it. Start saving up though you will end up ordering the others!!! I know Nathan has been putting in big hours on his new reloading book and is close to finishing. He often says that he probably should have written his technique book first and l think thats the next project, like Mike has said! |
