I have a question on ammo for a 7mm-08. I am currently shooting 139 grain SST but have been having problems with shot groups. I am shooting a Ruger mk stainless out of a lead sled. The bullets seem to be going all over the place. I thought it may be the scope so I put another one on it and that seemed to help but I was wondering if the ammo just may not be right for this gun. I don't know if I should go to a heavier bullet or a lighter bullet. This gun is mainly used for deer hunting. looking for a little help.

hi Craig before you do too much try getting rid of the sled get some sand bags or pack stuffed with jackets wrap the sling round your arm and hold the fore end i think you will get better results.

Hi Craig,

You have said the scope has helped with groups, in what way? What do the groups look like?

How are your scope mounts, stock fit, copper fouling etc.
