I'm looking at adding a 300 WM to the safe. Traditionally I've bought Remington but I've also recently picked up a Weatherby Vanguard in .243 which I'm happy with.

For this project the Tikka T3 stainless laminated was looking good until I re-read Nathan's Practical Guide.

What I'm after;

.300 win mag</ul>

Stainless (unless I get talked out of it)</ul>

Good mag length</ul>

Price sub $1,500AUD</ul>

Good Parts availability</ul>

Overall good value</ul>

I've considered:

Rem 700 (SPS, 5R, Sendero)</ul>

Howa/Vanguard</ul>

Win 70 EW (Pricey)</ul>

CZ 550 (no stainless and limited options)</ul>

Savage Weather Warrior</ul>

The rifle will be used for stalking and longer range hunting for deer, goats and pigs.

I'm tempted to stick with what I know but interested in other options and peoples experiences with these rifles.
