243 W/105 A-Max

Nathan,
Finally got to try the 105 amax on a small buck. The shot was 297 yds and penetrated both shoulders and turning lungs into mush. I really wasn't expecting a complete pass thru, but the buck only weighed 110 lbs. The exit wound was only 1/2" so I can only assume the internal fragmentation was extensive. I used the load posted earlier.

Also shot my first coyote with the 7mag loaded with the 162 amax. 261 yds and what a mess that bullet made. The exit wound was elongated with a hole larger than your fist and peeled about 5 to 6 inches of hide back like a skinning knife would do. Haven't seen an exit wound like that. A mangy mutt to boot, but it was fun.

Hi Jim, that's excellent, two very clean, fast kills. If you ever get any photo's, please feel free to email them to me so that I can continue to develop and upload pictures to the wounding database.
