ANSCHUTZ STOCK OFFSET

I'm thinking of building a wood stock for my 6.5 PRC. My sport id FPR. The rifle tends to jump left on firing. I take it that's down to qbibody position. I'm near 80 and getting stiff. Would offsetting the stock 10-20 mm to the right help do you think?

Hi Sax, are you left handed?

I am not sure if altering the stock will help. The major issue is the method / technique employed / no sling etc for this shooting discipline. You have read my shooting book so you know the deal with this. I am not going to divulge my methods here but its basically as simple as - take a Tikka T3 Lite .308 unsuppressed to the range, try the F class method versus my traditional method and see which works. One will, one wont.

Unfortunately not much help to you sorry as F-Class has its modus operandi.

Regarding stiffness, this is something you might want to address. If you do nothing, it will only get worse and changing the stock also fails to address this.

I would suggest starting here:

If you are near a major center, consider joining a tai chi class or if you would prefer something slightly more dynamic, an Aikido club.

Thanks Nathan. Some points there I hadn't thought of.
