Nathan FosterHi Ricardo, you might as well just give it a try. The main concern is the difference in thread dimensions. If the thread is very loose, it will be up to the lock nut to keep everything secure with regards to vibrations and how these affect accuracy. Experience leads me to suggest that if the threads are a bit loose with this type of system, bedding ahead of the barrel nut by one or two inches will normally tame down vibrational (particularly double grouping) issues.There are other factors that some might want to consider but its really all moot within the context of your situation. Go ahead, then make it work. |
