Has anyone tryed the 95gr tipped match kings on pig's I have a customer who has a few making a mess of her paddocks I'm picking they are no bigger than 40 or 50 kilograms I have them shooting ok in my 243 they are a little slower than I would like doing around 2800 fps will only be using it at closer ranges up to 200 meters
Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Brendon, it will work best on non-mature boar and sows.

On large mature boar, aim for the neck / head junction. Note that I have seen mature boar survive centre neck shots with the .243 from as close as 25 yards.

The areas the .243 will let you down are: Mud encrustation or a shield, weak or overly tough factory ammo (narrow wound), or pushing the range too far versus the available energy (again narrow wound).

Thanks for the reply Nathan I managed to get a couple of small goats this weekend about 50 meters which they worked perfectly on as expected but there is a big difference between goats and pig's which is why I asked the question I have a customer who has some digging her paddocks up she wants rid of but didn't want to have a projectile that was completely unsuitable
