G'day
Will play doh work as good as plasticine when bedding an action? I can’t find any plasticine, the young shop assistants look at me stupid when I enquire
Cheers
Bob

Please use the plastercine supplied in the kits. The trouble with other products is the potential for melting under post heat as well as adding moisture to the job.

If you need more plastercine than is supplied, please use Jovi brand plastercine. failing this, stay clear of anything cheap and waxy. Use a high grade (artist grade) product.

Hi Bob,

I'm no expert but if you're in Australia you can get plasticene from bunnings hardware store (in the craft section) thats what I have used in the past without incident but it was for a synthetic stocked rifle (I dont know if it makes any difference if it was in a timber stocked rifle though)

you can also get plasticene from art supply shops - hope this helps

Got some from Spotlight. Ended up not needing it as there was plenty in the kit.
