Kestrel 2700 Ballistic, weather meter with bluetooth

Bob MavinMorning all.I received a Kestrel 2700 Ballistic, weather meter with bluetooth. I've been playing with it for a week now, getting things sorted. I really like it, very small waterproof & drop proof. If nothing else I now have a better understanding of wind velocity. Simple to use, just make sure you give it plenty of time to acclimatise before relying on the readings. There is no way to calibrate them yourself so worth testing it against a known weather station occasionally.Given my hunting is always less than 400m I have never bothered using it for shooting. IainRe: Kestrel 2700 Ballistic, weather meter with bluetoothI have the 2500. No ballistics function. No BluetoothApart from the general data, I use the wind speed function as Bob as described. IE to test and improve my wind estimation skills (or lack thereof). I do the same with my RF. |

I does everything I need out to 875yds, that's ample for what I do, Deer to 500 feral's out wider. I'm considering buy a RF with bluetooth, leave the 2700 in your pocket, it sends the dope to your RF . [b] |
