Warwick MarflittSaw this and was dumbfoundedhttp://www.sportingshooter.com.au/latest/7000-deer-and-pigs-have-been-culled-from-the-upper-hunter-ranges Is it done by design? Is it that the fear of litigation is greater than the costs of a Helicull? Or is this the health officials scared of diseases from eating home killed meat? I hope that the pilot, shooter and flight cull planners where vegan tree huggers and used biofuel and copper projectiles and said a prayer for every earthsoul they destroyed and left broken useless and wasted. At least it'll feed the wild dogs pigs foxes cats and other scavenger? Who will then kill the farmers sheep and cattle. Kinda poetic justice for not letting responsible hunters in to control the numbers years ago....... |

Frank VallichRe: If only they'd let the hunters in with permitsThe deer are being reclassified as pests A quote from one news source states "End the use of recreational hunting as a key way to deal with invasive species management - its shown to be ineffective, and in some cases actually encourages the spread of invasive speciesRead more at http://www.sportingshooter.com.au/latest/stop-hunting- Demonizing sport hunting yet without any conclusive evidence to support the statement. Once again making statements without presenting facts to support the diatribe. Makes me wonder why unless a political movement is supporting the rederick. We are experiencing the demonization of firearms in Canada via media controlled propoganda ti ensure public safety. The stupidity factor reigns down upon us all from the blistering heights of poor reason. |

Andrew MurrayRe: If only they'd let the hunters in with permitsAh yes this old chestnut. It's incredibly mind boggling. The deer here have caused significant agricultural damage. Our pro shooting politicians have fiercely resisted changes to reclassify them as pests with sincere interest to jeep the animals listed as game animals so hunters can shoot them but this meant limited shooting seasons and other restrictions. But since the areas where these animals can be shot is also limited it meant that not many hunters actually had the chance to shoot them. So now the government has declared them an invasive and destructive pest (in some areas). The other side of this is that shooters tend to be extremely protective of "their" shooting spots, ironic for publicly owned land, so they don't tell other shooters where the deer are and therefore the number of deer grow and the very people who were supposed to take care if the problem via recreational hunting are responsible for their growth in numbers. Our politicians (including the pro shooting ones) are only ever reactionary with no long term vision. |

Warwick MarflittRe: If only they'd let the hunters in with permitsOh stink! Sorry for that guys....Phew lucky. I have some text you can read about modern social societies. And why its so hard to do stuff like we used to be able to! Think of it whatever you like! It's from a document called. Silent weapons for quiet wars. Operations Research Technical Manual TM-SW7905.1 DESCRIPTIVE INTRODUCTION Everything that is expected from an ordinary weapon is expected from a silent weapon by its creators, but only in its own manner of functioning. It shoots situations, instead of bullets; propelled by data processing, instead of chemical reaction (explosion); originating from bits of data, instead of grains of gunpowder; from a computer, instead of a gun; operated by a computer programmer, i nstead of a marksman; under the orders of a banking magnate, instead of a military general. It makes no obvious explosive noises, causes no obvious physical or mental injuries, and does not obviously interfere with anyone's daily social life. Yet it makes an unmistakable "noise," causes unmistakable physical and mental damage, and unmistakably interferes with the daily social life, i.e., unmistakable to a trained observer, one who knows what to look for. The public cannot comprehend this weapon, and therefore cannot believe that they are being attacked and subdued by a weapon. The public might instinctively feel that something is wrong, but that is because of the technical nature of the silent weapon, they cannot express their feeling in a rational way, or handle the problem with intelligence. Therefore, they do not know how to cry for help, and do not know how to associate with others to defend themselves against it. When a silent weapon is applied gradually, the public adjusts/adapts to its presence and learns to tolerate its encroachment on their lives until the pressure (psychological via economic) becomes too great and they crack up. Therefore, the silent weapon is a type of biological warfare. It attacks the vitality, options, and mobility of the individuals of a society by knowing, understanding, manipulating, and attacking their sources of natural and social energy, and thei r physical, mental, and emotional strengths and weaknesses. |

Frank VallichRe: If only they'd let the hunters in with permitsHello WarwickTruth in the information Marketing ideas via media. Selling prpoganda. The spin factor. Hype. The application of this weapon is in constant motion. Extremely difficult if not impossible to stop. Makes one feel rather small. Like a fish in shark infested waters. Many more examples are possible but the exasperation of continuing is pointless and ultimately inaffective. Much like discussing politics. Bahahaha. I don't know if I'm laughing or crying. |
