Hi Fellas,

I am setting up my nephew in reloading for his .357 magnum rifle and wondering whether to use magnum pistol primers as Nathan recommends for Win296, or not.
We are to be using AR2205 (same as H110 I believe), 158gr and 180gr XTP.

Cheers,
Wayne

Re: .357 Magnum primers
Hi Wayne, magnum for spherical, standard for stick.

These can be quite a lot of fun to work with. Nice little project. I hope you can find some 180gr XTP pills.

Thanks for that Nathan.
200 each of 158gr and 180gr XTP turned up yesterday. They do seem to be a bit hard to get here in Aussie land.

Hi Wayne

I did a lot of close range Deer culling with a 357 mag rifle, 24" barrel on a Martini action. I used 158 & 180XTP both worked on Rusa Deer inside 80yds.
At 100m the 180 XTP was very accurate.

Cheers
Bob
