Lane SalvatoNathan provides a lot of free information on this website, but the information is incomplete when compared to the wealth of knowledge in his books series. There are more myths dispelled, more history to cartridges given, more projectiles evaluated, more optics discussed, and more real world experience contained in this series than I've seen anywhere else. For those of you looking to gain real knowledge from someone who isn't on the hook with a rifle manufacturer, a bullet company, or an optics company, this is valuable information. I've read and re-read all of his books and use them as references all the time. Nathan's willingness to maintain his independence as a writer is rare, and no doubt comes at no small cost. All I'm saying is that if you're looking for a Christmas gift for other shooters or hunters, his books are not a bad choice! |

Joshua MayfieldRe: The 'Practical' in the "Practical Guide" Series of BooksDitto.Between my educational pursuits, my professional career, hobbies and topics of interest, and simple literary curiosity, I've bought thousands of books in my life. Out of all those, if I made a Top Ten list of the most helpful and useful books I've purchased and read, the 5 Practical Series books would absolutely be on the list. If I could sneak them on as a single item, great. If not, then they'd just have to make up half the list. |
