Just putting out a feeler. If anyone has a cheapy Enfield they are wanting to part with, please email me. A rough old cut down No.4 Long Branch would be ideal. Micrometer sight preferred if possible. Bore condition irrelevant.

Thanks, Nathan.

Thanks Warwick. The carved No.1 is certainly beautiful and reflective of the Maori Battalion rifles. Really nice.

Hi Nathan, how are you getting on with this? Is the rifle for a client project or towards the ongoing cartridge research?

Re: Nathan, Enfield WTB, No.4
Hi Hamish, its just for me as a keeper. I have one here that I used in the good ol days but the bore is stuffed now. I would like to do some experimentation with this rifle (cartridge research combined with personal inquiry) but am loathe to alter it without having an original sporter. Its such a silly thing, its just in my blood really- always have a sporterized .303 on hand, ingrained into me for no good reason. I also have a full wood rifle but I want to keep this well preserved for future generations. It is not to be used as a hack. So the rifle I am looking for is to be just a very basic cut down (hopefully Longbranch) rifle, mike sight, no scope drilling or tapping, average bore or if the bore is stuffed, will rebarrel later. The rifle will not be sold.
