Action weights

Just a quick one hopefully someone can help.
I'm interested to know the action weight for howa long action (magnum)
Preferably with trigger, magazine, bottom metal (everything except barrel and stock)

closest you will probably find is taking the specs for the barreled action and subtracting what you estimate the barrel to be.

I see this question come up a lot lately, guys worrying about action weight.

let me bottom line this for you.

last week, some young fools went hunting up around here with their latest light (or should I say Lite) weight pieces of franchised crap. One of them put the wrong round in his chamber and boom- full shrapnel, just a grenade, nothing left but chucks of metal embedded in his head, perhaps even knocking some sense into him. He will live, more out of luck than good management.

You want light weight- have at it.

The Howa is a well designed medium weight. There are some weight savings in the bottom metal. This is all you need to know.
