BEST DIE SET FOR RELOADING 30-06 IN A RCBS ROCK CHUCKER SUPREME

Rob CantwellHi I've just upgraded my reloading setup to a new RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master kit. I will be reloading for 243win and also 30-06sprg. I've only just got the kit and am yet to get dies for this kit. So I'm just wondering what everyone's using and find best for this type of kit. Any help would be great.Cheers Rob |

Thomas KitchenRe: BEST DIE SET FOR RELOADING 30-06 IN A RCBS ROCK CHUCKER SUPREMEHi Robi agree with Chris comments in other thread Nathan books will really be ideal for walking you through a lot of these things. i love the lee collet, i own two sets of custom sets plus many factory ones. your very luck as the lee ultimate sets come in 30.06 these are great 4 die sets for a really good price. also pick up a lee trim gauge while your at it. just be aware if your shooting brass that you haven't shot before the brand new brass will require slightly less powder then once shot brass |

I have dies from most of the major brands, in multiple calibres and tend to move towards the Redding dies as my preferred as they offer an excellent quality product. Lee are a good option as Thomas has said and that set will give you the great collet neck sizing die that works a treat. l change the locking ring on the F/L lee dies to one with a grub screw, giving piece of mind that the die adjustment wont change once set for a minimum shoulder bump (l hate the o-ring set up). Brass in the 4 x 06's l load for is either Hornady, Win or Fed and have had excellent results from all being F/L or neck sized, standard necks or turned. Favorite powder 2209, it just works and l will not quote loads, that's just asking for shit to happen. Trust us, get the books!! |
