Brendon Greig

Hi guy's I had a conversation with a work mate off my wife's while having a beer the other night and he asked me about cleaning his gun properly so I said bring it round and I will show you so he turned up with his stuff which consisted of a marlin 7mm08 a bore snake and a bottle of oil which was labeled gun oil and cleaner as we all know from Nathan's books that isn't going to happen so I had a look down the barrel it looked ok so then I had a look in the end of the barrel for copper fouling and there was a quite a bit very much like the picture in Nathan's book so I gave it a good coating of copper solvent at set it aside he also wanted to see how to reload so I showed him the basics while waiting for the solvent anyway we gave the solvent time and scrubbed it then gave it another coating and left it to rest I did this about 3 or 4 times and it was being a bit stubborn so out with the auto solve and a little polishing and it was just like new again we then gave it a good clean and re oiled it so a big thanks to Nathan his books and site and fellow members as the knowledge gained is invaluable
Cheers Brendon

Re: Rifle cleaning
Good show, Brendon. You probably also made another convert to TBR.
