Nathan, if you ever are asked to work on one of these I hope you'll post about it. I'm simple-minded mechanically, but I'm having a hard time seeing how this could lead to a high degree of accuracy. I could be suckered into the idea of it being a close range dangerous game gun, maybe. But it's not chambered in anything larger than .375. Am I being overly cynical?

very interesting i wonder how recoil would effect the forestock.
not sure if anyone has doing any work on a pump action and seen how it worked out?

i really don't understand trying to make one gun do everything swapping this barrel and bolt head for that etc.
sounds like some guys just need to learn how to sneak a new rifle pass their wives better ha ha.

i do understand some issues with getting another gun in some countries which is why you need to read Nathan cartridge book and pick a cartridge wisely, something that can do most things even if its overkill a lot of the time.

This sort of thing is quite difficult for me. I understand the human need to innovate. Creativity is something that should be nutured and celebrated. As humans, we need to be able to express our individuality, we need to be treated with compassion for our endeavors and not berated for trying something new or different. In this case, we have a few individuals who have worked very hard to create this new rifle design.

On the other hand, I feel that the hunting rifle pretty much peaked with the Mauser. There have been a few minor variations such as the round shaped action and so forth which have helped in various ways.

It is difficult for me because of the blurred lines between true creativity and intellectual snobbery. To me, true creativity is simplistic in its expression.

Personally I would not use this rifle and would not want to work on it either. I can see a few Swaros and Zeiss optics being returned for repairs after spending time on this action.

This switch barrel thing is also getting out of hand. People get really tied up with this.

I am skeptical, but curious. I do have the feeling it will be rather expensive. I could not get the link to work but i googled it and came up with some videos. Did anyone come across pricing info? I have a couple rem 760 and 7600 pump rifles that i have a love hate relationship with as well as spending alot of time hunting birds with 870 shotguns, and i have to wonder how un natural it would feel moving the slide forward then back rather then the other way around.
