Bryan WebsterJust found that the length of these new slippery bullets could cause an issue for some people re seating depth versus magazine lengths:Cal. Weight Hornady Bullet Model Length 0.308 178.0 A-Max® 1.318 0.308 178.0 ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag - eXpanding) 1.403 Something to take into consideration in any event. |

The details of the message follow below: Comments: I noted in your list of ELD-X bullets that there are none of the 165 to 168 grain weight range. Have you got plans for adding these weights to future ELD-X bullets? |

Bryan WebsterRe: The new Hornady ELD-X 178 grainHello Paul. What I have been looking for are only the ELD-X rounds to work up loads for the 178 grain version. The links above are the A-Max that you are using are they not? In any event I have the A-Max 178 grainers just wanted to work up a hunting load for the eld-x version when I can get my mitts on some. Have a backorder in at Grouse River already. |

Paul LevermanRe: The new Hornady ELD-X 178 grainSorry, I thought you were also looking for the 208's.Talked to Grouse River yesterday, their order is in at their distributor, which means in Canada. They were expecting them any day, but as usual no guarantees as to what shows up. They said they had over 100 Hornady's on their order, but had no confirmation what was actually shipped. |
