7mm - Sierra Matchking

The picture below shows a 7mm 168 grain Sierra Matchking bullet, recovered from a Red deer, impact velocity approximately 2100fps. The bullet failed to expand and caused very little damage, eventually tumbling after finally losing stability on impact. The kill was very slow. Unfortunately, there are a small number of hunters using this bullet to hunt game without an understanding of the consequences. This problem is compounded further by bragging 'internet experts' toting custom wonder guns, often in very large calibers.
