.338 cal - Woodleigh
Below we have a series of pictures of an Australian mature Hereford scrub bull at an estimated weight of 1000kg. This bull was shot with a .338 Win Mag using 250gr Woodleigh ammunition at 2650fpps. Range was 8 meters, taken with a high shoulder shot, dropping immediately.
The Woodleigh projectile which was retrieved under the skin of the off side, indicating the shot was angled very slightly downward.
The recovered Woodleigh. Weighing 216gr or 86% retained weight.
