I HATE IT WITH EVERY GRAIN OF MY BEING! I HATE IT MORE THAN I HATE TOYOTA LAND CRUISERS.
DO YOU REALLY THINK LIKE SOME FOOLS AND IDIOTS THAT YOU END UP WITH AN EXTRA HOUR OF LIGHT? IF YOU DID THE DAY ID BE 25HOURS LONG NOT 24 HRS! HOW STUPID TO ALOW THE STATE TO MAKE YOU GET OUT OF BED AN HOUR EARLIER AND IF YOU WANT MORE TIME IN YOUR LIFE TO GET STUFF DONE JUST GET UP EARLIER OF YOUR OWN FREE WILL? NOT AT THE COMAND OF THE SLAVE MASTERS! WE ARE ALL SLAVES IN THIS COUNTRY! THEY PERFECTED IT BY STOPPING SLAVERY! yes!!!! ALL THEY DID WAS A RE BRAND AND TODAY ITS CALLED CAPITALISM NOW EVERYONES A SLAVE BLACK, WHITE, BLUE, GREEN, WEVE BEEN "IDIWINKED" AND NOW! EVERYONE MUST DO WHAT THEREY TOLD BY ALL OF THE PARASITE INDUSTRIES!
ITS PATHETIC AND "NO ONE CARES ENOUGH TO THINK? OR THINKS ENOUGH TO CARE!!!!!"
WELL NO ONE CAN SAY THAT THEY WERNT TOLD OR WARNED! JUST LISTEN TO THE WORDS IN PINK FLOYD, BOB MARLEY, BOB DYLAN, STEEL PULSE, ARGH !!! IM A WASTING MY SAVED TIME ARENT I? WOE YE WHO BETRAYS HIS FELLOW LANDSMENS TRUST.
THIS INDIAN KNEW A SCAM WHEN HE SAW IT!

Re: DAY LIGHT SLAVING TIME!
I want the time B4 work early in the morning like you get in QLD and Western Australia? Why should I miss out on my morning hunting time because I have to go to work early!!!! In Oz The PEOPLE wont have it and told the Govt to stick it !!!! Unless you have lived without it you don't know what your being forced to accept???? We've got people here who have never lived without it??? So How would they know? The problem is that 70% of the population are too thick and brainwashed by TV, Video games and Drugs or addictions that they couldn't form a self generated opinion or intelligent thought process to work out what was going on ??? Sheeple are Hoodiots and so easy to Idiwink? Look at the numbers of cross armed shooters complaining about poor accuracy and blaming the gun and ammo???? Ah! well Society gets the new Flag it deserves and whats important to some is nothing to others? I hate having an inquisitive mind and refusing to accept shit just because so and so says its good? Why can't I just be dumb and submit to the Slave masters controlling my life and what I can do??? I'm going to go for a walk to take my mind off this stupid annoyance! that's all for now folks!

To enslave a class of people requires three basic things: destroy their self-sufficiency, prevent them from fighting back, and silence any opposition

Once you sell your soul to the devil you'll never get it back or hindsight is always 20/20 that's what the tppa is to me once it's signed we are at the mercy of another country and for what?
Think we got very similar views.
I just wished everyone voted that way the politicians would be more accountable if only the upper class tends to vote who do you think politicians will look after.
We'll end up in a class society if it carries on like it is.

Re: DAY LIGHT SLAVING TIME!
Yes
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! Toyota just copied Land Rovers idea. Who copied the WWII US Army Jeep! LOL "ABOVE AND BEYOND"

It's ok if you like the Governments Big "Indians" Blanket with the extra length sewn on the end?

If you REALLY THINK about stuff analytically from a distance so you see the whole Picture and the overall effect rather than the bits your emotions are drawn to and ignited by! You'll find that things sometimes are not the Rose colour that was presented to you. Look at issues over a longer time frame? 20-100years not just 20 odd days? But then you'll actually have to care and make a concerted effort and that's probably too hard especially With all the extra daylight to distract and blind you!
Factory ammo vs carefully developed custom Hand reloaded Ammo! Maximum Reward for applied effort! Or Minimum Effort for Maximum reward!

Re: DAY LIGHT SLAVING TIME!
day light saving seems to mean my boss wants me to work later its funny work late get home and its light outside but the wife's bit dark on it ha ha.

we had a v8 cruiser at work sure it would tow alright but like the foreman said that drove it "for 70k you think they could throw in a blimen cup holder"
boss sold it and brought to second ford rangers instead can almost tow the same weight these days.

not sure i would want to buy a modern toyota my hiace hasn't even got 70k on the clock roof is rusting and i had to pull the wiper shafts out and grease them the other day as they had corroded and making hell of a racket that was driving me insane.

managers hi lux less then 5 years old and the deck is starting to rust out around the roll bars under the lid all toyota accessories so can't blame it on aftermarket parts.
is this toyota dropping the ball or the age we now live in?

MY LATEST TRICK! Buy an old car that was made to be rebuilt and designed for road side servicing. No computers to fail or needed for it's repair! Yes its small and simple but loads of cheap parts still available and I have a Roverdrive Overdrive from Canada!!! Its a Toyota's Knight Mare!

I can feel the envy at the lights, in the car park, on the river track towing the jet boat! That's right no A/C compressor to seize and die! just a flip up vents on the dash and a sliding window each side and behind! Four gear leavers 16 Gears forward and four Reverse LOL
VW Toe-rag an emissions cheater! Priceless to worthless in seconds

Only when you understand what really went on will you truly know just how well you where screwed over! By then it will be too late. All will be owned and controlled by another man. Sold to him by somebody who didn't Care for the people, the Land and Our unity? Chief Gone Cloud!

Re: DAY LIGHT SLAVING TIME!
I work on new common rail diesels all day and wouldn't own any of them, well not for very long. How long was the warranty???
I think Toyota have dropped the ball a bit as well Thomas and yes bloody overpriced. Haven't seen the rust problems over here that you guys have to deal with.
VW are in a world of hurt that will continue for a while yet.

Hard to beat the old trucks that are made to work on as you say Warwick, but in saying that l don't have to pay people to repair them either.
I had a new Ranger in the bush for a week, had all the ARB gear on it etc. but couldn't wait to get back into mine. My 80 series is slower and thirstier but it always works and is heaps better offroad.

Not long now till Master tells you to get up early so he can make you work late! Dayfright Slavings time. The knew from of obsession oppression that you pay to row.......gently as ewe scream!

Here's a song for you. "I DON'T WANNA BE "
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SO0TMvwPfaQ

It's a lie is daylight saving. As it's not possible to save light! For example make a box line it with mirrors shut the mirrored boxs lid outside in the sunlight. Put box inside and when its dark open the lid and see how much daylight you managed to trap, catch, outwit and save? Next week I'll be selling you the newest gimmick...... The Flashdark😆. What use is a beam of darkness good to hide.

Re: DAY LIGHT SLAVING TIME!
Yes it is a stupid concept. But here, in the summer we get around 17 hours of daylight, so who cares when it is. You get up, go to work, come home. Nothing changes. I like getting up and sitting on the porch with my coffee, watching the sun come up, and not have to go to work for another two hours. Me time.

I thought you were a Kiwi Warwick, but your first post makes me think you're an Aussie. If that is the case then I must ask which state and what kind of Aussie doesn't love a Land cruiser?!?! Next you'll be saying you don't like vegemite!

Re: DAY LIGHT SLAVING TIME!
On the vehicle note... we had a 2000 model Camry wagon. Great car. Bought very cheap in 2013 (?) For $2K, we kept spend money getting it serviced and replacing worn parts, and eventually had the engine massively overhauled. It died 2 months ago. The engine seized, it was full of oil. I can only imagine that the oil pump failed. Now it would have been cheaper to replace the engine again but we bit the bullet and bought a 2012 model Camry sedan. We were 500km from home when it happened but we're staying with dear friends who made a horrid situation much more bearable. 5 minutes after getting it my eldest daughter spewed in her car seat. The worst part was I had just put new brake pads and tyres on the old car! I was very disappointed because I don't think there was any way we could have known the oil pump was going to fail...
Such is life. We were fortunate enough to get a reasonable loan for the new car but it has stretched us a bit thin...

Now as For DST. I would prefer to not have it. But NSW, the state of legislation and rules, insists on it. This truly is the nanny state.

Nah ! I'm a real Kiwi like Nathan. 👍 you can't Root Shoot or Electrocute us.......
I've been working in Australia on and off the last 15 years in WA,QLD,VIC & NT underground auto sparky. NZ is and always will be Home.
You should have rebuilt the engine in the ole toyota.
When you had the engine Massively overhauled did they replace the old oil pump with a genuine one? How long ago/km did you get it done. I guess it's too late now but I'd be seething mad. You should get at least 300,000 km from one of those with proper servicing and maintenance. 1980s Toyotas where over
Engineered built too well and made to be repaired. The old land cruises where ok except for the rust issues. Old Land Rovers where built to be used for Expeditions. The owners manual said. When off road drive
"As slow as possible, As fast as necessary". In an expeditionary vehicle your going a long way for a long time. Thrashed vehicle's don't last long or go far.
Old Land Rovers if looked after and serviced by the book go forever. And in first gear low box 4x4 engine just above idle. They'll climb up steeper hills than your nerves will handle. And you can sneak up on a heard of animals because the old push rod engine is so quiet. I can still buy any part for it too.

Andrew, can we get an international petition going for someone to make a movie about Warwick? Not that he'd watch it. But this is a multi-million dollar film waiting to be made. All in good fun and no disrespect intended, Warwick, but you're a fascinating study.

Re: DAY LIGHT SLAVING TIME!
On the vehicle note Warwick... we had 340000km on the clock. Good unit. I do not think the pump was replaced. I do not have the invoice handy. I had an old TA22 1972 model. Thing went and went and went. Turned faster than he WRX I owned but not nearly as fast...

It's a common thing to say that a Toyota will rust out before it fails mechanically... I often do wonder how much their old reputation is carrying their new products though. This new consumer disposable market has affected the firearms industry, I am sure the car industry is not immune to it.
