Could use some guidance with glass...

Been out of it for awhile, have to say I'm overwhelmed by the choices, and by all the varied opinion out there on optics. Used to be a leupold fan but to be honest, did not use scopes a whole lot.

What I am in need of is a simple solid optic for load development, I would prefer fixed power and simple crosshair, for shooting 100 to 300 yards/meters specifically, on paper.

Anyone have some suggestions for something reasonably priced and solid?

Thanks Chris, checked them out, they have a fixed ten power that looks pretty close to perfect, except for the dot-and-slash reticle.
I would really prefer a plain crosshair.
It's on the shortlist in any case, so thanks for the suggestion!

have a look at the Bushnell Elite 10x fiixed power model 3200 or 4200

Great pricing here in Canada at around $250 to $300. Used with a Picatinny zero cant rail and Warne or Talley rings either should do very well for you.

I have used several fixed power Sightrons at 36x and for benchrest paper targets they are good optics for a decent cost...just a wee bit more power than you might need.

Thanks Bryan, I'll have a look at those.
