Hi fellow Kiwis,

With Nathan's & Steph's blessing I am posting the link below.

As you know the government is rushing legislation through regarding firearm reforms that could well adversely affect law abiding firearms users such as us. If you believe that they should slow down with the details of any legislative reform, & allow time for legitimate law abiding firearm owners & experts to have their say, then please go to the link below & consider signing the petition on line as I have;

https://www.parliament.nz/en/pb/petitions/document/PET_86334/petition-of-hayden-livingstone-kiwis-request-reasonable?signed=true

Thanks guys,

Jon

Jon You make a great point there.

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.”. Dr. Seuss

John D Hays

The public might instinctively feel that something is wrong but because of the technical nature of the silent weapon, they cannot express their feeling in a rational way, or handle the problem with intelligence. Therefore, they do not know how to cry for help, and do not know how to associate with others to defend themselves against it. When a silent weapon is applied gradually, the public adjusts/adapts to its presence and learns to tolerate its encroachment on their lives until the pressure (psychological via economic) becomes too great and they crack up.

Therefore, the silent weapon is a type of biological warfare. It attacks the vitality, options, and mobility of the individuals of a society by knowing, understanding, manipulating, and attacking their sources of natural and social energy, and their physical, mental, and emotional strengths and weaknesses.

DIVERSION SUMMARY

Media: Keep the adult public attention diverted away from the real social issues, and captivated by matters of no real importance.

Schools: Keep the young public ignorant of real mathematics, real economics, real law, and real history.

Entertainment: Keep the public entertainment below a sixth-grade level.

Work: Keep the public busy, busy, busy, with no time to think; back on the farm with the other animals.

Here's two songs for you to ponder from Jack Johnson

Thanks for posting that link Thomas. It is sad that so few gun owners responded but it was good to see gun owners interests (including our own submitted concerns) acknowledged within the document.

Below is the link to the NZ police website which has the new list of legal versus prohibited firearms.

Re: NZ FIREARMS LICENSE HOLDERS & PROPOSED LEGISLATION CHANGES. IMPORTANT!!!
11 firearms stolen from Palmerston North Police station on Anzac day by a criminal known to the Police...

WTF?!?!?

And I as a law abiding licensed firearms owner was randomly inspected for firearms security by the Police? Best they look in their own back yard!

If this was a licensed firearms owner that did not have 11 firearms properly secured, what would happen to them? Food for thought.

What accountability will there be with the Police individuals responsible for not securing 11 firearms, at least one of which a semi auto, allowing then to get into the hands of a know criminal? Where will they end up from there? Gangs & other criminals no doubt.

Criminals have no regard for the law, & this well & truly makes the point.

A person did this. A person did not secure them properly. A person picked them up & took them away. Stealing. From the Police of all people.

The firearms didn't get up & walk out of the Police station back doors on their own. And it didn't matter if it was a semi auto or any other type of firearm. The thief did not discriminate.

As we have all been saying forever, it is the person that is the problem, not the firearm. Hence why in this country, we license the person as fit & proper not the inanimate firearm.

Banning semi autos will never stop a criminal or lunatic from accessing them or using them unlawfully.

Far out man, makes you wonder huh?!?

The more things change, the more they don't!

Cheers,

Jon

So if they never recovered the firearms the tax payers of nz just brought better quality firearms for criminals, wonder how that sits with the do gooders.

This is the same police station that in 2008 had an accidental discharge and shot through couple office walls missing fallow officers.

Hi guys few things going on at the moment but unfortunately the new law is passed so if would need another law change to ease ups on some aspects of it.

this is kinder what we up against in particular the question at 1:27 also note the video shown at the same time https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/breakfast/clips/we-just-ask-to-be-heard-firearm-owners-feel-ignored-as-second-phase-of-gun-law-reform-starts

now if you read the last line of this you'll see the problem and there's still no checks in place.

Just quick update.
2019 budget detail released.
Budget for gun buy back 150million plus 18million for logistics.
This is woefully short.
Conservative estimate 600million but most are around a billion.
Government commissioned an accounting firm kpmg to try calculate cost but report isn't out yet, rumour has it they are around 2billion.
Low budget released is pretty obviously to keep the general public blind as for a small country even 1billion is a massive amount when we are having teacher, nurses and doctor strikes currently.

Re: NZ FIREARMS LICENSE HOLDERS & PROPOSED LEGISLATION CHANGES. IMPORTANT!!!
More incompetence lies & BS to placate the public & avoid confronting the truth huh Thomas?

Can you imagine how popular anti gun MPs & lobbyists would be with the public if the correct figure was published? For which we all as tax payers get to pay for! It will get blamed on legislation, that we have no firearms registration no doubt & be used as a lame reason to force registration of firearms on us all.

Mark my words...

Jon

Re: NZ FIREARMS LICENSE HOLDERS & PROPOSED LEGISLATION CHANGES. IMPORTANT!!!
Your right Jon they want registration, as my favorite comment went "my car was registered when it was stolen and yet they still haven't found it"
It's like they forget serial numbers can be ground off.
Also the lie we have no idea how many of these guns are out!! Every legally firearm imported since the 80's has had a import permit so they should know or are they bad at paper work.

You see that a new gun control group started up, ones a uni researcher, the lies on their website should have us all worried.
They are now sensoring all facebook comments that don't agree with them.
