Anybody else not like the new Sierra Bullets website format?

I recently went in to get some SD numbers and found that Sierra had changed their site look. It might be because I'm old and crotchety, but I don't like the new format - at all.

It might be different if you could click on the coloured icons for the different bullet types, but that doesn't work. You can't specify calibre choice. You have to scroll through a sh*t load of pages to get where you want to be. And once you get there, you still have to go one step further to find any info.

Why can't they just leave things alone? Different is not always better. Just ask Ford.

Shifting the goalposts further away and closer together means less will try and more will give up.
It might be because you're old and crusty!
My bets because you're Smart and wise........
Forever looking outwards for solutions and finding only problems!
Turning and looking inwards may end the search?

Time to make your own bullets Paul?

Yeah, you're probably right (did I really just say that?). Another case of the dinosaurs complaining about the cold. Some marketing psychologist determined that primary colours in the right order would increase sales. And it's probably smart phone friendly.

Paul, I got on the site a couple weeks ago and, at first glance, I liked the update. Then as I moved around the site some I ran into all the things you mentioned and some others that seem like really obvious improvements. The site, as is, can't be the final version. There are too many holes. I'm hopeful that the folks at Sierra had committed to a rollout of the new site, stuck to it, but that there will be a series of improvements and additions coming soon. Under the Resources tab alone there are some pages that have no content yet. This morning the Find A Place To Shoot page actually takes you somewhere. I'm not sure that it did last time I got on there. I really hope they keep building the site because this version is a little prettier, but not an actual improvement. Now, I am excited that they're about to release the 6th edition Reloading Manual. Maybe I'm silly to be excited about that. But what is life without a little silliness, right? Think of all the rifles and bullets that wouldn't exist without silliness.

I agree, and dislike changes like this. However I would guess their longer term goal is to do a better job. The old site had its drawbacks too.

I found that selecting HUNTING under USES in the menu gives you access to what you want and makes it not too bad.
