Stainless Polishing

Polishing.jpgWelcome to the stainless steel polishing division of Terminal Ballistics Research. Having worked in the stainless steel industry for many years and thanks to the encouragement and support of Fitzroy Super Yachts, we have been operating a highly cost efficient polishing work shop since 2007.

Stainless Polising Division

  • Industrial Polishing
  • Benching
  • Decorative

Our preferred system

  • Charge rate $30 per hour.
  • Charge outside Taranaki - rate $40 per hour.
  • Work is performed in our own workshop or on site.
  • We supply power tools.
  • Client supplies consumables or is billed for consumables.
  • We normally do not supply a fixed quote. Instead, each job is assessed on an individual basis and an estimate given*. Times are monitored throughout the job and communicated to the client for evaluation. This system has been a great success for our clients in the past and allows the client to continually add input into the desired finish versus time and costs. As always, the goal is to ensure that the client has control over the job and is able to meet target budgets.

*It can be very hard to quote polishing jobs from the outset as much depends on the coarseness of the job as it arrives to us (handling or forming marks) as well as the hardness of the steel (eg Duplex versus 316L). We find it best to start the job and make an evaluation as soon as possible (within a couple of hours), then report back to the client and discuss options.
